Term 1      29th January - 28th March  (9 Weeks)
Term 2      15th April - 27th June (11 Weeks)
Term 3      15th July - 19th  September (10 Weeks)
Term 4      7th October - 12th December (10 Weeks)

2020 CLASS PRICES

Enrolled Member (45 min Class)   $20

Enrolled Member (1hr Class)         $22

Casual Member (45 min Class)      $24

(A total of 3 casual classes only, once a 4th class is organised a Membership Fee is required to be paid)

A 10% sibling reduction is applied. 

Classes do not run on public holidays. Where your class may fall on a public holiday a reduction will be applied to your term invoice

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

Kindergym     $35 (Children 1-5yrs Old)

Junior Gym    $45 (Children turning 6yrs old after the 30th April)

Payable on enrolment as this is a "One off Payment" for the calendar year, which covers:

* Membership with Gymnastics Victoria

* Public Liability Insurance and Personal Accident and Injury Cover

* Gymnastics Victoria Booklet which offers discounts and benefits

Class Structures at Gymnastics Central

1-3 YEAR OLD KINDERGYM

Children need as many opportunities as possible to optimise brain development. A Child-centred environment for both the child and caregiver, allows the child to develop physical skills at their own rate, in an inclusive and non-competitive atmosphere. Active Caregiver involvement is compulsory.
The Class consists of a variety of activities;
- Welcome and Warmup
- Circuit Exploration
- Fine Motor Development
- Parachute, Bubbles, Sticker

3-5 YEAR OLD KINDERGYM

A more structured class, recognising the changing needs of the child with regards to Gross Motor Skill Development, Cognitive Skills and Social Skills. The caregiver continues to provide a feeling of security and support to the child. Active Caregiver involvement is compulsory.
The Class consists of a variety of activities;
- Welcome and Warmup
- Introduction of Gymnastics Equipment Circuits
- Fine Motor Skill Development
- Weekly "Star" Shape
- Parachute, Bubbles, Sticker

4-5 YEAR OLD KINDERGYM

This class provides the child with a greater amount of independence and the opportunity to develop school readiness. The introduction of basic gymnastics skills with more intricate circuits and the involvement of the caregiver is not required.

The Class consists of a variety of activities;      

- Welcome and Warmup

- Basic Skill Gymnastics Circuits

- Fine Motor Skill Development

- Weekly "Star" Skill

- Parachute, Bubbles, Sticker

        

5-6 YEAR OLD JUNIOR GYMNSTICS

Junior Gymnastics is an opportunity for children 5-6yrs old to learn more complex "Gymnastics Skills".
Cartwheels, Handstand, Bridges, Tuck Swings, Backward Rolls, Dive Rolls. 
This class runs for 1 hour.

Gymnastics Central Kindergym classes ensure that your child can experience a wide range of movement activities and be encouraged to think, create, construct and solve problems with their own bodies. The equipment setups are safe, stimulating and provide a large variety of movement opportunities for children to play, explore and learn.

As you may know, I have been involved in High Performance Gymnastics for over 15 years, my range of work has seen me play an integral role transforming the Victorian Institute of Sport Gymnastics Program with the development, implementation and facilitation of many processes, policies and programs.

Working closely with many elite Athletes, I have been fundamental in assisting them to achieve their dreams at Olympic Games, win medals at Commonwealth Games and World Championships.

 

TRACEY PENALUNA

Tracey, a former gymnast, has been involved in High Performance Gymnastics for over 15 years, working with the Victorian Institute of Sport Gymnastics Program as a Senior Coach and Program Manager, and the National Centre of Excellence for Women’s Artistic

Gymnastics in Melbourne as a Senior Coach and mentor.

  • Highest International Qualification in Gymnastics – Level 3 Federation International De Gymnastic (FIG) Brevet Coach for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
